I recall getting my first camera at eight years old; from then photography has played an important role in every stage of my life. After purchasing my first Digital SRL camera (Nikon D70) in 2005 photography became a big part of my life. I always carry my camera with me to take a photo whenever I see an interesting event or image.

I certainly do not consider myself an expert, but I enjoy taking photographs and I like to publish and share them. My first photoblog was running on an xs4all weblog. Then I discovered Flickr (where Getty Images discovered me) and in 2008 I started my first personal website.

On this renewed personal website (medio 2011) I like to share pictures which I consider to be my most interesting ones. I hope you will enjoy them too. By the way, I don’t have a specific subject for my pictures, but if I should have one, then “Pictures of Amsterdam and far beyond” hits the nail on the head! This site will be regularly updated (also with older work). Have fun!
